New Day, Inc. is currently seeking talented individuals for the following positions:
 HIRING PART TIME OVERNIGHTS (11:30OM-7:30AM) PART TIME WEEKENDS (7:30AM-3:30PM)
RESPONSIBILITIES:Â Performs basic youth care procedures and related task-oriented activities. Assumes the responsibilities of providing youth care in a therapeutic environment for youth. Provides the safety and security of the group home and the youth while performing job duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the therapeutic youth group home(s), ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants, and aligning program activities with the organization’s mission and objectives. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating with clinical teams, and providing therapeutic interventions as needed.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Residential Team Lead, directly supervise staff employed as Youth Care Specialists and the daily operations of the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with word processing and computer applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Email, and Cellphone applications. Strong managerial and training skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and demonstrate diplomacy and tact.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or a minimum of 6 years of human
services experience for those without a degree. Preferred experience with seriously emotionally disturbed and chemically dependent populations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must maintain current certifications in Non-violent crisis intervention, CPR, and First Aid. Must have a valid Montana driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; stand; walk; sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, and peripheral vision. This position may require the use of safe, non-injurious physical interventions (in the scope of CPI training) to maintain safety.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs basic childcare procedures and related task-oriented activities in the Day Treatment
classroom setting. Provide safety, security, and support at all times. Remain without bias.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform basic participant care procedures and related task-oriented activities.
2. Assist with school activities and academics and engage in 1:1 interaction, provide direct participant care.
3. Must transport participants to and from the residents’ homes and day treatment facilities, activities, appointments, and
other assigned events using New Day, Inc vehicles.
4. Responsible for driving participants from the Group Home to the. Day Treatment Facility.
5. Assist Program Therapist/Day Treatment Supervisor with therapeutic activities.
6. Accompany selected participants to other facilities for special tests/exams and the emergency room.
7. Function effectively in mental health and medical emergency situations within the limitations of education, training,
and job experience.
8. Assume responsibility for maintaining a neat, safe, and clean environment.
9. Observe, record, and report to Program Therapist/Day Treatment Supervisor any significant behavior and condition of
participants, seeking assistance when needed.
10. Understand and conform to all Day Treatment program policies and procedures.
11. Obtain CPR and First Aid training within first 60 days of employment and renew annually.
12. Interact therapeutically with participants in individual, group, and Program settings.
13. Monitor and supervise participant behavior in individual and group situations.
14. Provide direct child care support.
15. Maintain good attendance record.
16. Present a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
17. Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with all safety standards.
18. Report on time for work and scheduled meetings.
19. Using DAP format, write progress notes describing all particulars and outcome concerning incident reports involving
participants with regards to the clinical perspective of the incident.
20. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and New Day, Inc. administration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The position does not have any staff supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service field and/or two years therapeutic group
home, inpatient or partial hospital experience. Experience with both seriously emotionally disturbed and chemical
dependency treatment preferred, or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience. Familiarity with
word processing and computer concepts. Able to maintain high degree of confidentiality and exhibit diplomacy and tact.
